Slow Food Melbourne Farmers’ Market
The Slow Food movement, established in Italy in 1986, seeks to preserve local food traditions and reignite people’s interest in the food they eat – where it comes from, how it tastes and the impact of their food choices.
Slow Food Melbourne is the local convivium which shares these principles with the people of Australia’s greatest food city through our Farmers’ Market, projects, workshops and events. We work with farmers, producers, chefs, academics, community organisations, NGOs and more to ensure a thriving local food system.
With our monthly VFMA-accredited Farmers’ Market, we promote a robust food system in a practical way, connecting farmers and producers with the wider community.
